I just got an iPad and it’s frustrating that IG still doesn’t have an app. I just found a way to have Instagram on iPad which I haven’t seen anyone talk about online, but I wanted to know if anyone else had a simpler way of doing this.

  1. Download iOS Web Browser that allows User Agent swtiching (this is what tells the site if you’re on an iPhone or Mac etc.)
    • Lunascape
    • 1Cab is best it’s paid but you can customize the app so it’s essentially a full screen app that just goes to IG.
  2. Go to Instagram.com with iPhone User Agent
  3. You will be on the mobile version of Instagram.com which is more featured than iPad version of Instagram.com so you’re able to:
    • Direct Message
    • Post images/videos
If anyone wants to get together a petition for iPad app on Instagram because I’m so confused as to why IG doesn’t even have the messaging feature on the iPad Instagram website. I haven’t seen one online.

IG scales down pictures. It’s noticeable on larger screens so they may never have an iPad app

It's annoying that such a huge service doesn't have an iPad app.

You don't have to go through this workaround. Just run the iPhone version on your iPad.
Yep, this is what I have been doing since I can remember (iPad 4 days, lol).

It really does suck that they don’t have an upscaled iPad app, surely when you upload they keep higher quality versions somewhere? This is now a Facebook product, Zuckerberg must buy more servers if he has to, lol, I heard he’s good for it.

Pictures in the web version look fine blown up. I don't understand why people use that as an excuse.
