Install GM as an upgrade from Snow Leopard?

Say I want to upgrade my MacBook from 10.6.8 to 10.7 GM.
Would this be stupid?
I have a developers account, and from my understanding the GM seed of Lion is what users will get from the MAS.
So is there a difference or anything?

Perhaps I'm too conservative, but Apple states "Install this pre-release version of Mac OS X on a dedicated partition or on a system used solely for creating and testing apps for Mac OS X Lion."

Just to be safe

Just to be on the safe side I would wait till release and then download and install the updated version
