install OS X from disk

I have an old 13 inch white macbook. I have the original instillation CD for it. I want to reload the macbook from scratch. I don't care about any programs I may have on it or files. I put the disk in but it will not let me click on Install MAC OS X button. It says . You can't use this version of the application "install Mac OS X with this version of OS X. You have " install mac OS X" 23.1. I have snowleapered software CD

What can I do.

Try putting the CD in then hold the C key when booting to boot the CD. Then erase the drive and install.

I tried that. But I'll try again.
[doublepost=1454258615][/doublepost]I tried it again and it gave me two HD to pick from. Bootcamp and Macintosh HD, and it says. Mac OS X cannot start up from this disk.

In the installer where you have the options of Bootcamp and Macintosh HD, click on Utilities up top and select Disk Utility. The click on the drive, not a partition, on the left side and choose the partition option. Make it one partition, name in Macintosh HD or something cool, click options and make sure you select GUID or GPT I forget which one it will say, as long as its not MBR or APM you're fine. Then quit disk utility and choose Macintosh HD or whatever you named it, Bootcamp should be gone. That should do it.
