Hi all,

The Mac Mini Server is a perfect HTPC for me, I like that I can get rid of my NAS as the Server has sufficient storage.

However, after doing some research, I think the SL Server is overkill for me and not necessary, as I only have 1 other Mac and I don't need the server tools.

Can I simply purchase SL client and install that instead?

Thanks.

Yes.

That is what I have done with mine, along with running both at the same time SL Client on one HD and SL Server on the other. I love having a mini with SL client and two HDs 1 for system and apps the other for data.

Cheers

I've been considering buy the server Mini, replacing one HDD with an SSD, then installing normal OS X on the SSD and HDD would be for files and what not.
