Just downloaded beta 3 and kept getting the message update could not be installed. I am running Catalina on a separate container. I noted that the install app downloaded to the applications folder on my Mojave container. When I moved the app installer to the application folder under Catalina AND ran the app manually, i was able to install beta 3 successfully.

Just curious if anyone else see’s this.

Can confirm. Happened here as well.
Followed suggestions to disable "auto proxy discovery", but didn't help.

Any idea where to beta file is normally downloaded to? I can't seem to find mine.

Applications folder....If you have multiple installations of OS X on the same machine, others have had it go in the wrong one.
I enable FileVault on all my installations so they can’t see each other unless I want them to.

Odd I can't delete the files in the update folder. For some reason I don't have enough admin access.

Having the same issue here.

Tried downloading the full installer and that gets to the end and then says the computer can't shut down.

When forcing a shut down it just restarts as normal.

Trying to install again from the full installer. But currently saying 30mins to install.

Just tried again and it downloaded some more then moved into "Preparing" and now wants to restart. I'm thinking it's been fixed. 13" MBP 2018

Nope. Bricked my machines. No power at all. No fans. Totally dead. Two machines.

After removing and reinstalling the beta profile twice, the latest update completed and installed. 2018 13" MBP.

All seems normal.
