hey all, so i recently got a mac pro 2009 but firmware hacked it to a 2010 5,1. Loving it, so much better the trashcan i had, so my question is, what is the best way to run windows 10 on this machine? Do i burn the ISO to dvd? if so what version. yes i do know technology, but i just wanted to come to you guys and make sure im doing things right. And yes i am running high sierra, as well as snow leopard, both on SSD's but my 640GB hard drive is unused. i know i have seen a video of a guy changing the code for bootcamp assistant to add mac pro 5.1 to the code.

Boot Camp Assistant isn't recommended (and isn't even supported on the cMP as of Mojave). Especially since you're going to dedicate a hard drive to Windows.

In the thread below yours (as of this posting), someone said that the latest build (1809) is now too big to fit on a single-layer DVD. So you can either use a dual-layer DVD or acquire build 1803 and burn the 64bit iso to a single-layer DVD. Never mind, seems as though that poster was mistaken. See this post here.

i do plan to upgrade to mojave later on, getting a rx580 graphics card for christmas, i have a nvidia gt120. i can use the know there is alternatives like bootchamp too.
