My son has a disc of The Sims. Before we had our G4 overhauled it used to work perfectly on his account.
When he tried to reinstall the disc,he got a ‘permission denied’ message. As Administrator for our computer,I then tried installing it on my account-success,but on my son’s account he can’t create new characters etc-he gets a ‘failed’ message and then the App-(which works in Classic NB)-crashes.I’ve tried running it on our ‘troubleshooting’ a/c- the same happens,failure-crash.
I tried ‘Get info’ and changing the Ownership/Read-write permissions to my son’s name-but no go.The same happens.
Obviously he can play the game using my account-but that isn’t ideal.
Seems like there’s some sort of permission glitch? What can I do?
