Installed the release version of 10.11 today, and I noticed that TRIM on my Samsung 840 Pro is showing as NO.

Throughout the BETA there was TRIM support natively for this drive. Has anyone else experienced this ?

Thanks.

Just be careful with this. Samsung have advised not to enable it, due to possible unexpected behaviour. However, I have an Evo 840 and have had it enabled, without issue.

However, I practise a strict backup routine, for such an unexpected event... I would recommend that if you don't, you should do as well.

Just check with the manufacturer of your SSD whether TRIM is supported or not. Most have no problems, Samsung being the notable exception with some models.

Thank you, I will watch out for trouble.
During the BETA the TRIM worked wonderfully with no data corruption, I do however have an internal HD for TimeMachine and two NAS system that are all used for backup, hopefully this will negate any loss issues if they do happen. :)

Please provide link where Samsung said so.

I think you are referring to the old situation before Apple introduced Apple's own native trim that came in Yosemite.

We are talking El Capitan here.
