Installed custom iOS 5, Gevey sim works, but when I jailbreak I can't get it Work

So I have installed a custom iOS 5. And when I try my Gevey sim it works perfect. But when I do the jailbreak I am no longer to do the manual Gevey unlock. I have to initiate the startup from my settings and after I dial 112 and I switch on airplane mode it says invalid sim as expected, but as I wait for it to say "no sim card installed" instead it gives a "no service" and starts to search for network. What do I do ?
 
did u try to install ultrasn0w? I am on at&t but with a custom ios5 firmware and I was getting no service after jailbreak and installing ultrasn0w fixed it
