I'm the one who was having trouble getting snow leopard installed on a late 2006 imac with a new ssd drive in this thread:

Well, I successfully installed snow leopard and then I put linux mint cinnamon on a second partition.

However, I only used the cinnamon edition of Linux Mint because I didn't have a dvd of linux mint MATE.

I ordered one and was wondering if it will be easy to replace the cinnamon install of mint with a MATE install and what would be the steps I can expect?

For instance, will I have to make a third partition? or do I just delete the cinnamon partition and then install MATE?

Thanks!
