Hi,
After installing Security Update 2020-004 on my mid 2012 Mac Air the keyboard started generating the wrong characters. This has happened in the past and so I tried what worked before and switched accounts. No problems with the other user account - the keyboard worked fine and I'm writing this from there. When I switched back to my main (and Admin) account from the "non-user" account the password was now accepted. However when I used Word and other apps in the Admin account the problem was back.

I continued to use the machine from the "non-Admin" account but it didn't have all the stuff I needed so I restored the machine from a pre-security Update date and everything worked....until I installed Security Update 2020-004 again. Same problems.

It says now (after security update) version 10.13.6.

My plan is to restore again to a date before problem started and wait for the next security update, hoping that doesn't have the same problem.

Any other ideas or suggestions very welcome!

Thanks Mark
