So I currently installed windows vista on my 21" mid 2011 iMac with mountain lion installed. So if you don't already know in bootcamp you can only install windows 7 or 8 so yea.... But what I did was trick it into letting me install vista. I did this by inserting my dads windows 7 disk when you first open bootcamp and its partitioning the hard drive and when it reboots I held down option and ejected the 7 disk and put the vista disk in and installed it. Well here's the problem my Mac came with OS X Lion so I don't have the disk for the drivers. But I do have a snow leopard box set from my older Mac but when I installed it the mouse and wireless keyboard stopped working and the Internet still didn't work. So I tried to upgrade it with a download from apples site, didn't work. I've tried to download a ton of different things from apples web site. And none work.

You're going to have a hard time. When you do work arounds like that you're pretty much on your own. Apple has only provided drivers for 7/8 because it's what they support.

Why did you install Vista anyway?! It's a nightmare! Windows 7 is light years better and supported.
