Installer Issue. NEED HELP!!!

ok-
so i am not sure what I did. I needed to reinstall Installer 3.0 which I have done before with no problems. i set permissions to all my apps to 0777 and the problem now is that they all work but once i reinstalled installer nothing shows up under the uninstall tab. all my apps are fine but they will not update now. it is as if the installer app thinks nothing in downloaded. any help getting installer to recognize all my apps would be appreciated GREATLY!!!!

I have this same issue with the permissions. I tried changing it back but obviously can't remember exactly what it was. I looked for a replacement file over the internet but when I did that it now crashes when opened. I put the old installer file back and it still crashes when opened. Do I just need to set the proper permissions or is my problem bigger than that? I appreciate any help anyone can offer.

I fixed mine so it doesn't crash but it says "Main script execution failed!" when I try to install a package. Any help is appreciated.
