Hello,

Is there a way to legally install 10.11 (currently 10.10 installed) on my 2015 MBP? I don't want to install 10.12 as I want all my macs on the same system.)

(Note: I can redownload (from appstore) 10.11 on my Mac Pro, but when I transfer the install file on the MBP, it won't install, says it's broken.)

Thanks

Loa

How are you transferring the installer from one computer to the other? There should be no problem to put 10.11.x on your MBP. You should also be able to sign into the App Store on the MBP and download the El Capitan installer there.

Hello,

It's working now. I've deleted the installation app and redownloaded it on my mac pro. I've transferred it using Air Drop and now it works. Guess there was something wrong with the original file.

Thanks

Why not just download it on the MacBook Pro in the first place?

It was my wife's and I didn't want to mess with iCloud synchronization by changing the account... (Not saying it would have, but I didn't want to take chances)

Ah ok, and yes, you're right in that signing into the App Store with a different account does not have anything to do with iCloud.
