Hello All,

Just wondering if anyone know. I was wondering if anyone could suggest a slot loading Blu Ray drive that I could upgrade the new 27" iMac's Super Drive.

I would like to write Blu Ray as well as play it.

If anyone knows then that will be ace.

The super drive is not user replaceable and I don't think there asre any drives available in that form factor anyway. Plus Mac OSX does not provide blue ray playback in anyway shape or form. The OS does not support the necessary DRM and no software can provide it.

You would be just limited to burning even if it was possible.

ETA: According to the link above, this would be the only possibility since the drives on the iMacs are the same as the MacBooks. Again, I don't know if you can easily replace the iMacs SuperDrive

Since you are only going to be able to burn, you might as well just go for an external drive.
