and i dont want to have that thing that comes after clickin on the .dmg so i copy the wow folder to application folder and eject the other thing. and btw, after ive done this can i delete the .dmg?

but my problem is to where to put the wow folder and logging on and installing the patches.

btw am in europe and yes i did put the realmlist to what it was supposed to be cause when i dl its set to a priv server.

what do i do??

Hmm, if you have a good copy of the game, when you log into WoW, it automatically checks and will download any patches that are needed. I don't think it matters where you install the game to. After the game is installed no need to keep the .dmg file unless you want it for a future install, but it does not sound like you have a good copy of the game. This isn't some bootleg version of the game on a bootleg server that you are referring to is it?

If your looking to legitimately play the game, the WoW Free Trial might get you a good copy of the game if you all ready have an account, but that is just a guess as I've not tried it.

yeh, but i cant logon so it doesnt am not able to acces the patches that pop up when i logon, and what do i do with the thing that comes after i double click on the .dmg? can u tell me step by step what i do from the start, from right after i have gotten the world of warcraft.dmg

Normally when you double-click a .dmg file, a window pops open with the application in it. You either click on the application in the window to start it, or you drag it to your computer. When dragged, sometimes that is the install. For WoW, I don't remember. If you are looking at WoW folder, then you would simply drag that to your hard drive. If you can't log in, then something is probably wrong with your download.

I really don't know what you have. Is WoW starting up for you at all?

I've pretty much told you what to do =
* Double Click on the .dmg file to open it. A window should appear with a folder or install application in it.
* Either drag the application to your hard drive or double click it to launch an installer.
- In the .dmg window, if there is a folder, double click and see if there is an application inside that can be launched. If the entire application and associated folders are sitting inside a folder in the .dmg window, you can't run it from there. However if it is an installer, you might be able to run it from the .dmg window. You can open your hard drive icon in advance and select the folder where you want to place the application or the installer (whichever it is).
- If it is a folder, dragging it to your hard drive should install the application or the installer. If you have dragged an installer to your hard drive, you'll have to launch it and install the game. If you have dragged the application in a folder (all ready configured) to your hard drive, clicking on the WoW application should launch it.

Sorry I realize this is a messy description...

he .dmg file is kind of like a zip file. Once you double-click on it there should be a window that pops open with the WOW Application in one icon. You need to drag this file to the Applications Folder. Then double-click the file in the Apps folder. If it a good file then it should finish the install. Once its installed then you may need to double-click the icon again to actually launch or it may give an option to launch. From there its up to you to enter your login, etc. Hope this explains it some more like "Huntn" has already done.
