How would I go about installing this new Raptor HD I just got for my Power Mac?

I currently have a 250GB HD with OS X and all my content and files which I want to keep. I want to format and install OS X on the Raptor so I can have the Raptor as my main boot drive and have my current 250GB HD that I'm currently on be as a storage drive for all media and file type things.

Once you have to Raptor installed clone the data from the 250 gig to the raptor using Carbon Copy Cloner or SuperDuper! (Both available at macupdate.com). Then restart while holding the option key and select the raptor to boot from, then clear the 250 gig.
