Hi

I have an iPhone 8gb which I have unlocked/activated/jailbreaked and have noticed that in the installer app there is a warning against upgrading to 1.1.3 through iTunes. It says if I want to use 3rd party apps I must use the special software upgrade method instead.

It goes on to say the BSD subsyetm's "passd" command is currently broken on 1.1.3

Is it not safe for me to install any 3rd party apps then? I don't want to break the phone by installing apps ... but then part of the reason for buying the iPhone was that it can have 3rd party apps by jailbreaking it ... at least until the SDK is officially released ... tomorrow, next week, next year??

Thanks in advance
