hellooo, right im trying to setup bootcamp but when it starts it says it cant install it due to some files that cannot be moved, i have to back up my comp, then partition it and install it.
But i want to know if there is anyway round this as i dont have my osx dvd to hand etc etc, and can i install vista onto bootcamp from a iso?

Get rid of some of your large files.

I had your problem, and on a hunch I deleted a 6 GB Parallels disk image I had lying around (wasn't going to need it anyways if Boot Camp worked). After I did that, the repartitioning worked just fine.

Try using Disk Inventory X, if you need to know where your big files are. Don't delete anything system related like caches and so forth.

I don't really have any big files (nothing larger than 2.5 gigs) and I still can't install windows. I didn't have this problem before I upgraded to Leopard either. I would really prefer to not reformat my HD either. That just seems incredibly unnecessary. Are there any other workarounds?
