Hi there,

I have had this issue with a few apps. There was the announcement that Lightroom Classic is now M1 native. I have not installed Rosetta on my M1 air and I cannot work out how to install Lightroom without it. Does anyone have a link to installing Lightroom without Rosetta?

Thanks!

The installer might still be Intel even if it installs a Apple silicon version of the app.

Is there anyway to get around that? I have at least 5 apps that are M1 native with intel installers.

Probably not. I’m not sure why it matters though. Rosetta 2 is tiny and works fine. There is no reason to avoid it.

I have been avoiding it for months! I just assumed it would affect battery life and performance. Is that not the case?

It only runs when invoked. If you aren’t running Intel apps, it does nothing.
