Hey guys I would like to dual boot linux but can't figure out how to install it on my MacBook Pro. Can someone assist me? Any version is truly fine. I just need to take advantage of the networking tools in linux. Can someone point me in the right direction without making things overly complicated?

which flavour of linux do you want?

basically you need to download a disc image, burn it, boot from it and then install from there. You will need to make seperate partitions for it - I think the latest Ubuntu can do this automatically for you, either way you need to read up on this before you go ahead.

to boot from cd hold down 'c' before the apple splash screen after you turn on the computer.

the ubuntu website should have a good wiki on installation.
