installing memory for macbook pro?

I got 2x 1gb sticks of ram for my macbook pro but I cant seem to figure out this "locking" system that they have holding the sticks of ram in....

is there any tricks or anything? a site i could reference? thanks!!

Have you read the little square manual that came with the MBP? I thought the instructions in there were pretty clear, and it's illustrated. You're not going to find anything better online.

Really, though, I didn't think it was that hard--just pull the little metal tabs gently outward to release any RAM that you're removing, and push the new RAM in starting at an angle. When its down flush, give it a good hard shove straight into the slot and it should lock into place.

Again, there are clear pictures of the procedure in the manual, including a little illustration of when you haven't pushed the stick in far enough.

sweet - thanks for the mild sarcasim, much appreachiated! fyi - the "little square manual" is at my parents house - which i have left by mistake when I left for college. I understand that "pulling the little metal tabs" is easy now that I have done it, however, after purchasing a $2000 laptop - pulling on anything without knowledge is not a smart move.
