Installing New HD in Macbook..

Few questions on this topic:

1) I've picked out the HD I wish to use but I wanna make sure it'll be compatible with the MB. I'm almost positive it will be, just wanna make sure. It's the Hitachi Travelstar 7k200

2) When I get my new HD, what is the best way to back up my old HD? I used Macrumors already and found a program called SuperDuper! Will this app work well? Or is there something more recommended.

3) When I switch HD's what happens to all my old Apps and things? Will I lose all my iLife apps? Do I have to re install the Mac OSX on my new HD as well?

4) Is it an easy swap to switch HD's on my own.

5) ****MOST IMPORTANT**** Will my AppleCare Warranty be messed up if I open up and switch HD's?

First timer for this so just wanna make sure I do it all right and have the right idea before I blow $250+ on a new HD and crack open my precious macbook.

SuperDuper or Carbon Copy Cloner will see you right. I used the latter when I installed my own MacBook drive and it worked great.

CCC creates a bootable back up of your hard drive, essentially you transfer this onto your new drive and all your apps and stuff are switched over with it.

4) Is it an easy swap to switch HD's on my own.

Pretty easy, just as long as you have the right tools. I had mine swapped out in under five minutes, it was a very simple process. Have a good read through this PDF beforehand so you're familiar with the process.
