I have a 1GB stick of RAM waiting to be installed in my new iBook, which comes Thursday. I found out how to instill it on the Apple Support page (it's a PDF file). It is titled "Additional Memory" on the Apple Support page, but it's called "Memory Card Replacement Instructions" in the PDF file. And sure enough, it shows how to replace the RAM. I'm wondering how to install fresh RAM in the SO-DIMM slot. Help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Do exactly as the instructions say. Open the keyboard, pull the old RAM out and put the new one in. It's very simple.

Well, it's the same thing as the way they show. They show you how to get to the slot, take that one out, and put another one. Just skip the take existing stick out!

My iBook should be coming soon too I hope!

If your iBook is a stock iBook, the original 256MB of RAM are soldered onto the logic board and the slot (where they're showing you how to replace RAM in the PDF) will be empty when you open it up and remove the airport card.

It's very easy to do - just be aware that you have to give both the RAM stick and the airport card, a good shove when you put them in. It takes a little more pressure than you may think to bed them in properly.
