I got bored with spore for a while (about 6 months) after i constantly played it, so i uninstalled the game in order to have space (even though i have over 50 gb free anyway). Well i'm back at the reinstalling stage as i want to play it a bit over the christmas holidays. I installed the game fine, and i runs fine, but when i go to update my game, that is when the problems hit.
I can download the update, it verifies and installs it, but at 95% it lags for while, then after about 10 minutes, it pops up with an error message saying something along the lines with "some files have been corrupted, please reinstall". I thought hmmmm, so i reinstalled the game, ran the update and it happened again! I have searched google for an answer, and have found other people who have had my problem, but i cant for the life of me find the fix for it, as all they seem to be concerned with now is patch 5, when i havent even got patch 1 installed!
This is probably an easy fix and i am just being too dense to find it, but if someone could help, you would be a real life (and time) saver as i really want the patches (all of them preferably, but i here you have to have the previous ones installed to install the most recent one) as they fix many of the things that annoyed me with the game originally, such as the new ability of asymmetrical limbs!
