Resolved installing Tuxera NTFS for Mac...need help

hello,

I just picked up a new (open box) MacBook Air and I am trying to install Tuxera and I get an error message when I access the preferences pane, and I can seem to get it to work.

is there an alternative to Tuxera or Paragon?

I need NTFS because I still use other windows based machines to transfer files to and from.

I use Paragon NTFS...which I got in a Paragon Tools bundle with their other FS offerings and toolkit.

No.

Downloaded the installer .dmg from my account page, installed it, restarted, input my serial, selected which disks needed to be read-write or read-only.

The external disk mounts read-write each time, and the internal Bootcamp system and Bootcamp games partitions remain read-only.
