Hi everyone,

1.I was wondering if it's possible to install Windows 2000 on my iMac 20" intel core 2 duo then upgrading the Windows 2000 to Vista Business...

2. How does the whole 32 bit and 64 bit operating system come into play? This is for my work computer so I need the duo operating system.

3. Can I upgrade 32bit (I assume Win2000 is 32 bit) to 64 Bit Vista?

4. Can I run a 32 bit Vista on the iMac? or Can I only run the 64 bit?

You cannot update from 2000 to vista, you would need a clean install.

As far as I know, the main advantage to using 64-bit windows is that it allows you to have 16 gigs of ram, and I guess it generally runs faster.

However, I do not believe boot camp supports 64-bit vista yet.

so if I install windows 2000 and get the business upgrade for vista it can do a clean install on the windows partition right?

does windows 2000 work with bootcamp in the first place?

No, Bootcamp doesn't support Windows 2000. It only supports XP and Vista I'm afraid.
