Hello,
I am trying to install Windows 7 via boot camp on OS X El Capitan 10.11.6. Every time I run Boot Camp, I get to the step where it searches for and downloads Windows 7 updates. Then, it says "The installer disc could not be found."
I’ve got a .ISO image from Microsoft that I’ve put onto a USB drive, and I’ve also burned the .ISO to a disk, and Boot Camp still won’t find it there.
I’ve also read that turning the .ISO to .CDR helps, but I’ve tried that via USB and disc and haven’t had any luck with that method, either.
MacBook Pro (13-inch, Late 2011)
OS OS X El Capitan 10.11.6
Processor 2.4 GHz Intel Core i5
Memory 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Graphics Intel HD Graphics 3000 512 MB 1 TB SSD 16 GB RAM
Any ideas? Thanks in advance!
