I don't dare to try and install Windows XP on my next Imac anymore. I tried it twice and had to send the Imac 24" back twice. I read forums where people see the black screen, but I saw the white screen after going through Windows setup. And after that, the Imac only booted to that white screen, can't reboot with OSX CD either. The Apple geniuses gave up trying to figure out what was wrong with it as well. Luckily they took the computers back and my new one is on its way, but I would not dare try to install Window anymore. I give up on Windows, I'll just have to use a separate computer for my windows softwares :(

Is it the Windows CD I have that caused that? Because I used that same CD to install Windows on my PC desktop and it works fine. Can anyone please tell me the steps process of a successful Windows installation?

Sorry for asking but, did you use a Windows XP Service Pack 2 installation CD?

I received my iMac 24" less than a week ago and I installed Windows easily :O

sounds like a very small % of people are experiencing this problem.
not to downplay it though. it would kill me if it happened to me.

Yes I used Window XP Service Pack2 Disk, but probably not "Genuine". I've received my third replacement, everything works well, but I still don't dare to try and install Windows XP anymore
