Installing Windows Through Target Disk

My Macbook Pro optical drive is not reading anything, it accepts them, then spits them out. I'm trying to install Windows through boot camp in Target Disk Mode with my brothers laptop and when im suppose to insert the windows disk i do so and press start installation, and i get " insert your windows installer disk" The cd seems to be read as it shows up on my the "host" desktop but it wont recognize it when i click install. Any idea why or solutions, Thank
