Hi guys,

I need to install a copy of Windows onto a hard drive partition of my 2011 Mini quite urgently, something I was planning to do with a USB DVD drive. However amazon, in all their wisdom, sent me what has transpired to be a CD drive only. Since I need it done in the next couple of days, can this be done via remote disk at all? I seem to remember reading that Apple didn't allow this in the past. Any advice on how to go about doing it would be greatly appreciated!

You might try this, if you can borrow a friends computer, or rent one, and make a disk image of the Windows install disk and save it to a USB thumb drive. It should install from that. I loaded Windows into a Parallels VM that way.
