I've recently purchased a mac book pro and when I went to instal windows using bootcamp, I realized that all of my windows Vista and Xp discs were OEM versions that came with previously bought systems. I installed using a dell boot disc without entering my license key (so I have 30 days) just to test it out. I then decided that I would like to purchase a retail version of vista home premium from the microsoft store because the free copy of windows 7 was quite enticing. I chose the purchase option of "download" thinking that I could receive my product key and software instantly, but apparently they don't process orders on non-business hours.

I then had a thought that I might not be able to create a bootable disc from this software. I went into the support and looked at the instructions and there was nothing about turning the software into a bootable disc. This leads me to two questions:

Has anyone had any experience with downloading their copy of the OS from the microsoft store?

Would I be able to download the software on my current windows partition, and run the installer directly from there to create a clean installation of the windows OS?

Sorry if my questions are silly, but I am new to bootcamp and I didn't have much luck finding this any of this information.
