Installing Windows Xp through bootcamp

im just wondering, i really dont want to pay $200 for xp,
so this is a question for people whos already installed xp.

when you were installing it through bootcamp did you use an burnt xp with a fake xp cd key? if yes did you have any problems afterwords? such as did it say " you have a fake cd key *busted*" or anything like that? and was it normal?
