I'll put this in here since I'm assuming it's iOS 10 related but it could be hardware. Time will tell.

New iPad Pro 9.7 and a new (to me, swapped out by Apple) iPhone 6S Plus. Both restore from previous backups where this feature was working just fine.

Trying to use personal hotspot iPad to iPhone and I'm being asked for the hotspot password, which Instant Hotspot is supposed to not require. Both devices are signed into the same iCloud account and both have wifi and Bluetooth turned on. Is this an iOS 10 issue or is the usual iCloud Magic not working? Any thoughts?

This broke for me in iOS 9 (not sure which update but earlier than 9.3.5) - but iOS 10 has fixed it...no idea what or why.

Lol. Completely the reverse for me. Was working absolutely fine until iOS 10. Or the new devices. Not really any way I can test which sadly.
