Instant Messaging..

Hi Guys,

Really frustrated here, since updating to Yosemite OS X both apps i use for Instant Messaging have stopped working.

I normally use Adium with a Hotmail account, it just wont sign in.

Anyone know if i can fix Adium or an alternative app that will work with Yose?

This may not be a good solution, my understanding is that if you login with Skype for Mac with your Windows Live (Hotmail) Messenger ID that your contact list and the IM feature will be there.

Not familiar with Adium, but from the sound of the apps function, won't be any solution: Microsoft has been pulling the plug on MSN Messenger service for over a year now. And I believe this December, pulled the plug on the servers.

Well, if MSN messaging is dead, what's the point?

And if you use iCloud drive/documents and converted to new iCloud with Yosemite, can't go back to old on that, so, that won't work.

Skype is fine and unbroken on Yosemite for me, you have another problem with your setup I think.
