I am considering purchasing a Macbook to replace my Pismo (great machine). When I am at work, I would have the Macbook on an iCurve. At work my Pismo is attached to a mobile LCD projector. Does the Mini DVI port have enough integrity to withstand the force of the adapter and a VGA cable hanging from it to the floor when the computer is resting on the iCurve? I just wondered since the Mini DVI does not have the thumb screws like the DVI or VGA ports.

Don't most all new adapters not have the screws?

Yes to your question. Without a doubt.
