Anyone tried this yet? Relatively new drive so most of my searches are coming up fruitless!

About to purchase a 120-128GB SSD, and weighing it up between:

Crucial M4 128GB - £125
Intel 520 120GB - £140

M4 has been out longer, more confirmed as working reports for the 2011 MM including good performance. Not impacted by compressed/non-compressed nature of the data. 3 Year Warranty

Intel - Just Out, but after a year(!) of verification by Intel. 5 year warranty. Slightly more expensive, but thinner. Few reports in any Apple machine, let alone the Mini.

Anyone got any thoughts on which they would choose?

Cheers, but the 830 seems very expensive in the UK at the moment!

Well if you mean an Intel 520 sata III ssd I own a 180gb model. You need to look at specs of the 120gb vs the 180gb. the 180gb is faster.

I am using it in my first pc build. My pc has an intel mother board an intel cpu and an intel ssd.

very happy with the build.

other then the price I would say it is a nice drive.

180gb specs and 120gb specs see thumbnails. the 180gb iops blow the 120gb iops away.

iops are small file read write they are really important for osx drives.

I have used intel for years in minis always a favorite.

I have drifted towards samsung and now some nice results with a mushkin ssd
