May be a dumb question but our mac mini doesn't have burning capabilities. The Boot camp tutorial says to burn a cd but we can't can we?

Do we wait for Leopard that has boot camp on it?
Will that include Windows XP or will we still have to purchase seperatelly?

All Mac Mini's include at least a Combo drive, so you should be able to burn CD's.
And you are talking about an intel mini, right? It's bought after april this year?
If it's an Intel, you can download boot camp and burn a CD with the drivers. Just put in a blank CD when it asks for it. Then install Windows by following the manual.
But if it's an older (PPC G4) mac mini, you cannot install windows, and boot camp wont work.

Yes...hmmm...(1) there's no Mini Mac G5. (2) If you have a Mac Mini Core Solo, you can burn CDs. Go to the store and get a CD-R or a CD-RW (not a DVD). Then get the Bootcamp download and follow the instructions.

I have the release version of Vista on my "stock" core solo mini. You don't need the drivers CD for it. Also I can confirm that the aero effects work fine. I would say though that it really could do with another 512Mb of RAM in there but it is perfectly usable.....I can also confirm that Vista really does look like an explosion in a flourescent paint factory.

With the more recent versions of Boot Camp you can also extract the drivers to a USB key or other external/network drive.

It's under the Utility menu.

The G5 was the last generation Apple used of the PowerPC processors made by IBM/Motorola/Freescale. It was in the Power Mac and iMac before the Intel transition. But anyway...did you make any progress?
