I found this blog that talked about bugs in the new Intel Core Duo chips:

http://geek.com/news/geeknews/2006Jan/bch20060123034350.htm

Does anybody now how this will affect Intel Macs? I'm not an expert on processors. But, this sort of stuff doesn't make me feel good about the MacBook Pro I have coming.

And, I couldn't find information on G4 and G5 processors with similar bugs in the past. Is this normal on new CPUs?

Thanks

Thanks...should search first next time. I was mainly worried about the sleep problems that people are having with Intel iMacs. Some said it could be related to the bugs in the Intel processors. Couldn't live with sleep problems on my Macbook Pro. I love that my PB has never had a sleep problem.
