Has anyone else this problem? Every 5-10 minutes it makes a low beep, like something starts up, but it´s completly at sleep. Light pulsates and screen is black.

What is it and how do I get rid of it?

Mine sleeps like a baby. Not a sound while black and light pulsing. I think something is wrong. But make sure you've changed the batteries in your smoke detectors.

He he. It´s certainly not the smoke detector. Not sure what it is. Everything seems to be working fine though

If it starts happening again, mute the speakers before sleeping it to see whether it is coming from them or from some hardware inside the Mac. :)

My 2001 iMac had this once. I'm wracking my brain trying to remember the cause. I'm guessing a pram or pmu reset fixed it.
