I think some of us new Intel iMac owners may be reliving the video issues that plagued the Rev A iMac G5's. I'd like to know if anyone here has had this problem yet - and what they have done for it so far.
The first time I booted my new iMac, I was greeted with the gray boot screen, covered in a mess of random colored pixels that seemed to jump around the screen a tiny bit. I freaked out, but hardly had enough time to as the damn thing boots so fast. Once it booted into the OS everything seemed to be fine.
However, I've twice now woken it from sleep to find the same problem. Desktop is all garbled. I can move the mouse cursor, which has an interesting block of white pixels that follow it, but can't click on anything and have to reboot.
There are a couple of people on the Apple discussions with the same problem, but no real solution as of yet. I was wondering if anyone here has the same issue, or if any of you early gen iMac G5 owners find my description similar to those problems of the G5's?
