Hello,

Just recently, my intel iMac stopped recognizing DVD-R formats. The superdrive works for everything else. I am running OS 10.4.9. What should I/could I do to fix this?

Thanks,
E

Also, can you explain more...

- Are the problems with old DVD-Rs you already burned, does it refuse to burn to new DVD-Rs, or does it refuse to burn to new DVD-Rs in certain formats (which formats... Juliet, HFS, ISO?)?

- If these are already burned DVDs, can any other computer read them?

- If you have Windows, is functioning different in Windows than OS X?

- If you don't have Windows, what happens if you try it in your Admin account, or a newly created account (if you only have one)?
