Intel iMac sound problems (uggh....)

Still running into annoying problems with this thing.

I'm having sound problems.

First of all, there's some crazy reverb on everything....if i cut the sound i can hear it kind of echo out like reverb.

Also, with garage band and some video aps, during playback, if the sound drops to a silent point (or close to it), its almost like it cuts out until the next sound is played and slightly fades back in making it super choppy.

I'm also not getting sounds on some webpages in safari.

I feel like i have a PC again since buying this thing....I've never had problems even close to this with macs in my five years being a strict mac user.

I haven't had any of the problems you've been having but my mute button no longer works when I hook up my Z-5500's. I know you can't control the volume through your iMac when using an optical cable but I was able to use the mute button on the keyboard on my Rev. B G5 iMac to turn the volume off/on.

Yeah mute doesn't work for me when using optical either...
