Any suggestions you guys could give me? Like how much can I ask for it

i'd say there's a good chance they'd have it in store. and for the 1x1GB chip, i'd guess that they'd just swap that over for you.

but why not just call the store and ask? :p

as for your PB - is that the 1.25GHz model? i've got the same, and i'm also selling. i've been looking on eBay Australia to figure out the going prices (i havne't been keeping an eye on prices the last couple of years), and i think i'll be lucky to get AU$2000 - or around that amount, for it. although i've got 1.5GB RAM and will be selling a couple of other peripherals with it.

all i can suggest is that you look on eBay and other classifieds sites to work out a price.

Most of the computers I've seen in the Apple store seem like they're just stock models, and not custom orders. Although they might have various models of the new iMac, because it's a new model... I don't know.

As far as your PowerBook, I'd agree with cb911. Surf around eBay, and look at PowerBook models similarly spec'd out. You'll be able to find a bunch, and that'll probably be the best way to figure out an estimate of what yours is worth.

The stores usually sell upgraded versions of the computers, but you can't really change the "upgraded" configurations. If you look under the iMac price on the little price stand thingie next to it, it should have a more expensive version. I know here in Chicago they sell the 256MB one, but you have to get the wireless keyboard and mouse as well. They'll do any RAM upgrade in-store, though, but not hard drive.

This is a 1.5 Ghz PB. I was looking around $1300 for it. It comes with a Icurve, Radtech sleeve, Airport Express, Incase Bag, Tiger OSX cd and Box. You think that is a good price? OH by the way it has a Combo drive

I just sold my powerbook right before the MacBook Pro was released. It was identical to yours and I got more than 1300. however, that was then and this is now. Also it don't help that Apple is offering the same laptop in their refurb section for 1399.

But I believe on eBay you will get close to that price point.

Good Luck!!!

But did you sell it with a airport express too? I am willing to lower the price maybe to $1200. I just want to sell it to get a the new Intel Imac 20" :) I was playing around with it yesterday at the store and I really liked it and I dont need a portable laptop no more

I know that some stores do sell the upgraded 20" intel imac model... it comes with 256mb video card and wireless mouse + keyboard, didn't ask about the ram though.

true true. You could always sell them later on though (I'd sell/trade you my mighty mouse as I don't use it)... as a matter of fact you could always shoot straight down the NJ turnpike and pickup a loaded 20" imac at the apple store in Deleware! It's tax free and you can still use your edu/gov't discount there, it's what I ended up doing, saved a couple hundred.

And while you're on the way down you could sell me your airport express :)
