Well there you go. I wonder how much of a market there is for people who use their laptop outside on the porch in sub 30F temps?

When it's too chilly then the ARM chip doesn't heat up the laptop like Intel chips do. That means the aluminium is freezing to the touch for the latest gen laptops. Intel Macs are better for winter use so you don't get frostbite.

Haha, this only applies to the M1 line, though. M1 Pro and Max can really heat things up when pushed to their limits in either the 14" or 16" chassis.

Really... Maybe in your world. I have yet to find anything I use that turns on my M1Pro’s fans. Maybe if I had 30 movies to convert to Mp4 using Handbrake, which uses all 10 cores.... It would take about 3.5 minutes.

Make a 100-photo panorama stitch (approximately 2GPixels in final size). It'll be good heat.

Play a nice long round of a 4X strategy game and the fans will kick on. Granted, this is compounded by running under Rosetta.
