I often think to myself, boy, that was the most useless post ever.

Yet people continually manage to top each other.

Please do, the intel based Macs to me seem to be quite impressive.

Especially the MacBook Pro- its about as fast as a DP/DC Power Mac G5 of a similar clock speed.

All that speed in a laptop....yum! :)

the 17 inch imac is a great deal... The 20 inch is overpriced right now. For the price, the 17 incher is the best deal for a computer on the market.

I agree that the 17" is a better deal but I don't really see the 20" as being overpriced. You're getting a faster computer, bigger screen, bigger HD and for a small price you can double the VRAM. Or maybe I'm just trying to back my purchase of the 20".;)

not bad at all... it was pretty good! the only thing that didn't impress me was the fact that i had a lot of freezes. i think i had about 3 freezes as i was using them but maybe that just an effect of so many programs being on the system. don't know. just for kicks, i jumped on the G5 Quad to see what it could do. (by the way, it had the 30" ACD hooked up... i gotta say, even though i've used it before, it's the most beautiful thing ever...) the Quad is majorly fast. Automator, iDVD, iMovie, iTunes, Safari... all opened almost instantly! the iMac is beautiful too...!
