I've seen to many questions pop up about Merom so I decided to make one thread about it. :D

Merom
- Introduced (tentative) August 2006

- 0.065 ?m (65 nm) process technology

- Same features as Conroe

- All models support: MMX, SSE, SSE2, SSE3, SSE4, Enhanced EIST, EM64T (an AMD64 implementation), XD bit (an NX bit implementation), Virtualization Technology, iAMT2 (Intel Active Management), LaGrande Technology

- Thermal design point - 35 watts (similar to Yonah)

Core 2 Duo T5500 - 1.66 GHz (2 MiB L2, 667 MHz FSB)

Core 2 Duo T5600 - 1.83 GHz (2 MiB L2, 667 MHz FSB) - $240

Core 2 Duo T7200 - 2.00 GHz (4 MiB L2, 667 MHz FSB) - $294

Core 2 Duo T7400 - 2.16 GHz (4 MiB L2, 667 MHz FSB) - $423

Core 2 Duo T7600 - 2.33 GHz (4 MiB L2, 667 MHz FSB) - $637

EDIT: Put some pretty basic info on Conroe and Woodcrest.
 
Might want to post some idea of what computers will house it, and when.. That's what most people wonder about. Of course, it's all speculation still...

A full house? How do you figure? If we did that, then we would need to ensure there are guides for Kentsfield, Cloverton, Penryn, Tigerton, Yorkfield, Perryville, Dunnington... Need I go on? :p :cool:

In that case we may not just see a CPU swap but a rather quick Chipset upgrade from Apple, been awhile since that happened.
