Intel & NVidia Settling? Impact on MacBook Air

Perhaps this means that Apple won't need to settle for Sandy Bridge and its 9400m-like speeds, and can proceed to incorporate the Core i5 (or at least i3) into the MacBook Air (and 13" MacBook Pro) at its next revision.

The settlement is probably too late. Whatever Apple has intended for the next refresh is most likely too far along now.

You're right about the Air. But the MBPros are due for a refresh soon and Apple will want to keep the GPU's in synch across all laptop models I think.

Probably too late for the MBP refresh, but next years MB Air should be a great update with larger capacity SSD, lightpeak and faster CPU/GPU.

considering they figured out how to octuple the data density of HDDs I think they still have some life.
