Hi,

I'm looking at getting a new iMac and was just wondering if Apple will be introducing the new Intel Penryn processors soon?

I'd say if it's going to happen it will be announced at Macworld?

Thanks for you time and sorry if this has been posted already.

Did you check out the front page? or did you jump straight to the forum?

Intel have announced them, but Apple hasn't announced any plans of putting them in their iMacs. Hopefully they will at macworld, or mid feb as a cheeky silent update. Who knows?

The iMac continues to use the 65nm mobile processor.

You won't see the 45nm mobile processors in the iMac until likely summer or so. The first Apple product to get them will likely be the MacBook Pro, perhaps as early as MacWorld.
