What machine are you running it on? I remember reading that Power Gadget only functions on Sandy Bridge+ architecture, though that is very odd. I too would contact the developer, I feel like it would be MORE useful on dual CPU systems than single.

You are right that Power Gadget only supports "2nd Generation Intel® Core™ processor or later" from the above link, which means Sandy Bridge and later processors although it does mention supporting both single and multi-socket only in Windows version. Given that only nMP and other single-processor Mac models can use the application, it doesn't really matter in this case.
